Jonathon Muñoz joined Nidey Erdahl Fisher Pilkington & Meier, PLC in 2017 as an associate. Mr. Muñoz originally hails from Weslaco, Texas. After graduating from Georgetown University, he taught college preparation courses for two years in the Rio Grande Valley. Mr. Muñoz graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2017. His practice includes but is not limited to criminal law (federal and state), family law, juvenile law, and civil litigation. He splits his time between the firm’s Cedar Rapids and Muscatine offices. Mr. Muñoz has previously worked as a judicial intern for United States Magistrate Judge Ignacio Torteya, III of the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He has also worked for Iowa Legal Aid as part of their Farmworker Project. Although Mr. Muñoz is not an Iowa native, he has quickly learned to appreciate the ‘Iowa Nice’ legal culture; his appreciation for shoveling his driveway is another story.
